38 Special is a solo release from N8!, who is one half of the hip hop duo Mankind. Produced by Joshua 'Halo' Stevenson, the project was created in the span of one week (4/13/2020-4/19/2020) and released on my birthday (4/20/2020) as a time capsule of how it felt to be alive and celebrate your solar return during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Initially released as a Bandcamp exclusive, the project also served as a fundraiser with 50% of all Bandcamp proceeds going to Lehman Cares Student Emergencies Fund (http://lehman.edu/lehman-cares/index.html) to combat he extreme hardship experienced by some of our students
